FIRE CRACKER Topiary

HERE IS MY ... NAMING IT~ "FIRE CRACKER~ Topiary"

YOU WILL NEED:
coffee filters
navy blue and deep red acrylic paint
sponge brush
hot glue gun
photo paper roll, or try a wrapping paper roll cut down
med. sized styrofoam ball
and ribbon

I was having a major craft itch~ so i looked around in my things... and HAD ALL THESE SUPPLIES! YEAH!!!
I started by simply crinkling the coffee filters by pinching them in the center and hot gluing them to the styrofoam. A little time consuming, but puncturing them in with a kabob skewer wasn't holding them in all the way, so hot glue works best. P.S. THIS WOULD work with cute 4th of July colored cupcake liners.
My 8 year old son wanted to take a pic. so I let him. I am getting ready to paint.
I then painted the tips of the coffee  filters with red and navy blue paint.
Then I stuck a kabob skewer down into the styrofoam ball so it would sit inside the photo paper roll better. I then painted a long photo paper roll. Check your local photography studios and see if they would give their empty rolls to you, or sell them to you.
ALL DONE!
up close.
