Picture knob Plaques

Visit thecsiproject.com
HERE ARE MY Picture Knob Plaques!
THIS IS my son's changing table with drawers. The middle drawer kept breaking off... so instead of fixing it. I un-screwed them all. Removed the clothing and other wood parts and made a little cubby hide out spot for the kids. WHAT DID I DO WITH THE DRAWER FRONTS?......... my hubs shakes his head, laughs at me, and says I am cute.. and creative! he!!!
BEFORE~
AFTER~ AND THIS IS what I TURNED THEM INTO!

YOU COULD EASILY pick up some wood at the hardware store and knobs and make these yourself.
STEPS:
prime wood~ two coats
paint wood~ three coats white paint
paint knobs~ acrylic paint
glaze knobs, wipe off with paper towels
finish knobs with clear acrylic sealer "gloss"
do a outer glaze paint to plaques, wipe off glaze with
paper towels.
use a stencil and brissel brush to stencil
"No." and numbers
whole punch card stock paper
 glue pics. on
add twine, tie knots hang pics.

close up of the painted, glazed, and acrylic clear sprayed knobs.
angle shot!
I DUG UP some pics. that will work for now, but they aren't my fav. I want the size to all be the same. You can hang pics. widthwise too. I am getting 5x7 pics. made up in BW and they will be hung widthwise.
........
My No. 1-3 kids, oldest to youngest. The plaques sit on my really long shelf above my window, leaning against the wall.
I HEART THEM.... YES' the kids and the boards! ;)

Snack Attack Bucket

Some of you have seen this on my Larsenloves blog, but I wanted to share it here on my craft blog. I made this several months back, and it still works GREAT. Basically I used my cricut to cut out a saying in vinyl and placed it on the bucket. This bucket sits on the floor in our pantry and is filled with snacks for my kids. The KIDS did have snack tokens they had to earn to receive snacks. Now they have to use their "CAN I" tokens for the snacks. It works great.

I love that it has a flip top lid that snaps open and close.

Vinyl for your TOES!

i AM HERE to tell you all that Vinyl isn't just for wood crafts or the walls. NOPE, YOU CAN put it on your toes too. Well, I did anyway! ;)

So I was staring at my hideous looking chipped toes today ... and thinking PEDI... AND ballet flats are fab., but not in the hot summer sun and heat. TIME FOR A NEW PEDI. So i gave myself a pedi. While waiting for my toe nail polish to dry I checked my blogs and FB ha! ... and while sitting at the desk i looked at my cricut... and BOOM it hit me.... I had to cut out some small vinyl prints from my cricut. I used the "Home Decor cartridge" once cut they went on my toes. I cut out cupcakes, lady bugs, birdies, and crowns. I liked the crowns best!!!
How cute are the little birdies?
You can use a sewing needle to pick out the itty bitty vinyl pieces. It works great.
I used my cricut spatula to pick up the little piece and place it on my toe carefully.
I sealed it with a good coat of top coat nail polish.
HOW FUN WOULD IT BE TO DO A PEDI. party if you have a cricut or know someone that does.... then you can cut out all kinds of fun designs for your friends have a bunch of nail polish and go to town.... HMMMM, I may have to do that!

NOW I CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE HOLIDAYS.... and had i thought of this before the paint job, I would of chose red polish and did white vinyl stars on my toes. However, Orange toes with little spiders for Halloween, Red toes with bulbs for Christmas.... etc.

the CAN I ? CAN!

MOMS~ HOW Many times a day do you hear the words "CAN I" ... AND the question's follow? MANY FOR ME! between my almost 5 year old and my 8 year old, it happens all day.

SO I INVENTED THE "CAN I" CAN!
I started with my little Ryk's fav. snack raisens ...well AN EMPTY wiped out raisen can.....
NOW THE "CAN I's" will be on WATCH! HE HE HE .... evil cackle here!

i cut out circles for the "CAN I" tokens and flowers from my cricut.

SO~ HOW IT WORKS: each kid gets "4" tokens a day. THAT MEANS they can only cash in "4" CAN I'S each day. It could be anything... CAN I go to a friends, CAN I have a snack, CAN I go in the pool! ONCE their "4" CAN I's are used up.... THEY CAN'T BUG ME! HA! this will teach them to limit their so called needs wants and desires. Maybe their wants and needs will suddenly mean more to them. WILL see, but this mom can't stand to hear CAN I .... all day  long!
Here is a basic HOW TO~ i used a sharp knife and cut out a thicker slit in the top of the lid. Then I spray painted the lid with black spray paint.
I cut scrap paper to size and mod podged it on the can, once dry i used my hot glue gun and glued on the paper flowers.
i also hot glued some grow grain ribbon around the top and bottom of the can.
I embellished it on THE back of the CAN too it needs love.

AND IF my kids don't like it.... WELL' tough, "I'M MOM, and I CAN..... do what i want !!! ;)
BETWEEN THE BORED~BOARD AND THE "CAN I" can, this summer will be AWESOME... crossing fingers and knocking on wood now.
