C.O.M. Fashion Friday- {Painted Chevron Earrings}

*something new to report on c.o.m.*
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO LIKE ME ON FB you may of read that now on C.O.M "Fridays" I am going to do Hand Crafted, re-fashioned...
"Fashion Fridays!"

It can be anything you have made relating to fashion, or something you re-fashioned and I want to feature you!!! You can email me at jenglamgirl@gmail.com I would really love great taken pictures the larger and clearer the better. Before and after  pics. and a tutorial would be great. I also would love you or your model modeling the re-fashion.

I have seen many of you re-fashion something, so please email me and let me get you featured!

so I MADE some {CHEVRON EARRINGS} with some earrings I have had forever.
HOW TO: I started with the original earrings, painted them with yellow acrylic paint 4-5 coats let dry in between. Then flip them over and paint the other side let thoroughly dry. Next I used vinyl and selected the zig zag pattern from my Cricut using the Platinum Schoolbook cartridge. I then laid the vinyl over the earrings and snipped off any over hang. I then used white acrylic paint and painted white over the yellow. I did two coats, let dry, and then do the same to the other side. Peal off vinyl. Lastly I finished the earrings with Krylon Triple Thick Clear Glaze, to give them shine. Let dry over night and re-add your rings and hooks and show them off.
P.S. for some reason the clear glaze made the cheetah print come through even with 5 coats.. (spray paint would be better, but I didn't have any and my project was free!) anyway don't judge PLEASE, they are handmade... "I could call them Cheetah Chevron HA!" eh' the cheetah gives them character!"

I LOVE THEM!

Oh wow! LOVE the new earrings Jenn! I will definitely keeps these in mind, and maybe make some myself.. Sometimes you just have to have that one certain color, and it's nice to know that I won't HAVE to shop all around the world to find it! I can just make my OWN earrings in whatever color I WANT! Oh, I definitely like that!... Have a great weekend! ~tina
