MY BOYS WALL REVEAL- {{DIY-Initial Letter Wall}}

ITS HERE- MY BOYS WALL REVEAL
I have seen many fun darling ALPHABET WALL'S IN BLOGGY LAND, so my inspiration came from there. However, I just wanted to do an "Initial Letter Wall" for my 3 boys! My Boys room is in a South Africa (my hubby served his mission there) Safari theme in animal prints and browns, greens, blues, black, & white. The two older boys will be in bunk beds and when the baby is here and about 4 months old he will go in the crib. Luckily my boy's room is big enough to fit the "3" of them comfortably. Next to the Initial Letter wall will soon be P & R's bunk bed!

 -AFTER-
SOME of the letters were painted and then distressed with distress ink. Some I I traced, cut, glued, paper too, and distressed also. Some are Vinyl, ones metal and then there are two leather ones.
THE PAPER i used for the background is by Canvas Corp- Chocolate and Ivory!
I used silver flat thumb tacks to attach the paper to the wall.
The zebra brown and black paper and brown and black polka dot paper are also from Canvas Corp.

I AM SO TICKLED WITH IT. MY BOYS: Preston, Ryker, and soon to be arriving Evin!

SORRY and THANK YOU!!!

hey guys- IF THERE is any opinion I value more then anyone else's its the one of my hublets. He got home late last night and I shared with him the Anonymous Eyebrow comment. He read my post.... and what he had to say is.... that... "I gave that person way to much air time and credit!" I shouldn't of put that much detail and effort into a post. "THAT, that person was so not worth it." He says I needed to be more professional, and what I did wasn't, that I am better then that. ;) He was genuinely sweet and having my best interest at hand. He truly was genuine! "HE WAS RIGHT!" I should of read that dumb comment shrugged it off and hit DELETE. However, I let my insecurities about the brows get the better of me... and started blogging. One thing is for sure, me and my brows will be just fine! WINKS!

THE THANK YOUS!!!!

so the THANK YOUS!!! MAN' I LOVE GIRL POWER! HA! YOU ALL that commented, rallied around me having my back! woot WOOT! YOU GUYS ROCK! I love you all for your love, support, and having my back. I got 48 comments and 4 emails total. THANK YOU ALL again for your input and compliments too. I did however delete the Eyebrow Post! xo jen

Me with a {Messy Pony}

My hair IS WAY LONG... passed my bra strap. I am not ready to cut it, and I do think I look better with longer hair too. So one thing I do... and will do more of when baby lub gets here... is pull my hair back in a messy pony. I curl my hair here and there with a large barrel iron, then run my hands through my hair, and spritz it with hair spray. I create a low pony in the back, giving myself a sort of messy bump on top. I then use a soft/material like rubber band (in this case it was a large flower attached to a hair band.) I place the flower band in my hair to a nice tightness. I lastly pin my hair here and there with bobby pins. The look I am going for is not to polished or perfect....
"YOUR MESSY PONY!" p.s. the shirt was not made, I bought it at a FAV. store Target! thanks for stopping by!

SPRING WREATH

Here is a re-visit TO A WREATH I made my little sister last year. Just wanted to share it with you all.

Everything was purchased at Walmart, minus the recycled twig wreath. I FIRST started by wrapping the lavender ribbon around the recycled wreath and gluing it. I then pulled all the pieces off their plastic branches and just started gluing and placing things where I liked them, adding the berries and babies breath too. The sis was happy with it and so was I. I am partial to these colors... as they were my wedding colors 10 years ago! ;)
bird up close. I just glued all the eggs down inside the nest with hot glue, and glued the bird to the side of the nest. Then the nest to the wreath. ;) You get me right?

Guest Post- {Will Cook For Smiles}- Chicken Stroganoff

Hello everyone!
First of all, I would like to thank Craft-O-Maniac for featuring my blog!

My name is Lyuba Brooke. I absolutely love to cook, if I could, I would do nothing but cook! My mom is a chef and has been teaching me how to cook since I was 7 years old. Over the years I've learned to perfect my cooking from many different sources, but I've also learned that the main skill you need if love. If you cook with love, it will always come out great!
My friends and family has been asking for my recipes and advise on cooking for years. Finally, my aunt suggested I start a blog, and voila..."Will Cook For Smiles" was created! I love sharing my recipes and advise on cooking. I try to make my tutorials as easy to follow as possible and take lots of pictures of cooking steps, so my followers with less cooking experience will have no trouble following the recipe! My goal is to spread the joy of cooking! Enjoy!!! "

Oh boy where do I begin...
This is not a traditional Russian Chicken Stroganoff ( I will have to make the traditional recipe, one of this days). This dish I learned when my family owned a restaurant. The sauce for this dish is the KEY. This sauce is a take on a  French cream sauce base. Very simple, although very easy to mess up, so be careful. This sauce will go wonderfully with Mushroom Jullien (that recipe, I will post later) and with salmon...as well as with scalloped potatoes or just over pasta.
This sauce was accidentally discovered by someone I knew and passed on to me. Now, I would like to share it with you ...
French Cream Sauce

Ingredients:

3/4 of a 750ml White wine, any, I buy the cheapest since its just for cooking (save 1/4 for yourself :)
1 Quart Heavy Cream
3 Shallots
Garlic
Oil
2 teaspoons of Sugar
Salt, pepper

Directions:
1. Heat oil in the pot on medium
2. Shred garlic into the heated pot
3. Slice shallots, add to the pot
4. Saute until transparent

5. Add wine to the onions, boil on medium high for a couple of minutes.

6. Lower the  temperature to medium, cook for about 10 minutes. (the amount of wine will lower, do not add more!)
*7. Steps 5 and 6 are important because you are cooking with wine and cream. If the alcohol of wine does not cook out, the cream will curl and you will have to throw it away and start all over. That happened to me the first time, so since then, I cook the wine just a couple of extra minutes if I'm not sure that its ready.
8. Add a little bit of heavy cream, stir well and make sure it has not curled. Add the remaining heavy cream. Stir.
9. Add sugar, salt and pepper.
10. Bring to boil of medium/high. Boil for a couple of minutes, lower the temperature to low.
11. Cook on low for about 2 1/2 hours. Please make sure to stir occasionally.

Chicken Stroganoff

Ingredients:
Chicken breast
Mushrooms
French Cream Sauce
Salt/Pepper
Pasta

Directions:
1. Cut chicken into 1/4 inch cubes
2. Add chicken to a pre-heated oiled skillet.
3. Salt/pepper, stir,  cover, cook on medium

4. While the chicken in cooking, slice mushrooms

5. When the chicken is almost done, add mushrooms

6. When mushrooms are done, drain the juice from the skillet.
7. Add the some cream sauce, enough to cover the chicken) cover and cook on low for about 5 minutes. (I make extra sauce because it will stay in the fridge for a while and can be used with other dishes).

8. Cook pasta according to the box.
9. Pour chicken and sauce over pasta...serve
Enjoy!!
This looks so darn yummy, and sounds it too. Thanks so much Lyuba! Check out her BLOG, SHE HAS TONS OF RECIPES! jen
