Home Decor- (Stenciled Wall)

I love my "Casablanca Trellis" Stencil from Royal Design Studio. Its super fab.

I had fun stenciling but I was off by a few hairs and just being off a tiny bit made things a little wonky. Oh' well, I am a rookie stenciler so there were some hiccups, but I wasn't going to start over. So I somehow embraced the goofs. All I ask is that you PPPPP-Please don't study the wall for to long, please be nice and leave only nice comments too, if you don't like it that is totally OK, just be nice.

So here are my BEFORE AND AFTER Stencil Wall pics.
I know you all are probably sick of seeing this mirror and table. I am still on the hunt for a great dresser that I can re-do and replace the entry table for. I have looked and looked but everything I find is to much, not salvageable, or already sold. So the search continues....

{Wood Serving Tray - Turned Chalk board}

 I THRIFTED A LARGE $2.00 WOOD SERVING TRAY.
I thought a serving tray would be so cute on my pantry door...
SO I AM "SERVING" YOU ALL UP MY Before and After today.
Before

After
I taped off the wood sides and painted the center with chalkboard paint. I gave it 3 nice coats, and I waited an hour in between each coat. Then I painted the trim with "Jamaican Sea" acrylic paint. I did a glaze over it to shabby it up with "Indian Turquoise. "
 To shabby it up somemore and give it a rustic distressed look, I used distress ink, spreading it on from the ink pad or with a paper towel, and wiping off the extra I didn't want with a paper towel.

Love all the "Serve/Serving" words you can write..... "SERVE YOURSELF."
thanks for stopping by.

Home Decor- {She finally met her owner}

Miss Tutsi Turquoise FINALLY found her home. That's right, she was so meant to be apart of our family, and she is just so darn purdy.

Let me explain... HAVE you ever had a spot in your home that SOOO needed that perfect piece of furniture? Well this spot... (YEP' you can see before shots below) has been empty for so darn long. I have wanted a chair in this spot forever, and have hunted forever too. I saw Miss Tutsi several several winks ago and a fav. antique store in my local town. Tutsi was love at first site, her previous owners loved her too, and already gave her a makeover, so I didn't have to do a thing, except polish her up a bit. Plus her dark wood matched my other dark walnut wood. EEK.

Anyway, I went back to the antique store today and she was still there, in a new spot........ and even better she was reduced in price, I told the lovely gal that I had a strict budget and she totally knocked Tutsi down another $25.00 dollars. I was squealing inside. SHE WAS so waiting for me, and she was so meant to be.

{Meet. Mr. Block Head Franky}

 "MEET MR. BLOCK HEAD FRANKY"

I thought of this project when I saw some chunky Hex Bolts on my hubbies tool bench. HA! I went to Home Depot and picked a large board out of their scrap wood and had a guy cut it for me at 13 inches. I got the piece of wood for 50 cents. Craft stores should carry wood too, but if you want it bigger I say Home Depot or Lowes. I also bought 2 hex bolts (because hubbies were different sizes) I picked up apple green acrylic paint and black acrylic paint as well as googly eyes at Roberts Crafts. All of the other products I used, are ones I had at home.

Supplies:
2x4 piece of wood cut to preference size (mine was 13 inches)
small piece of scrap wood about 1 inch x 1 inch for tooth
green acrylic paint
flat sided sponge brush
distress ink
googlie eyes
hot glue gun
black craft wire
small tipped paint brush
thick black foam board
drill
2 Hex Bolts
The step by step collage is pretty self explanatory. I soaked the hex bolts in water mixed with some black acrylic paint, to  make them look dirty/used. This project was pretty darn easy, and would be super fun for a GIRLS NIGHT CRAFT NIGHT. I love my sister to death for painting the mouth and nose. Thanks Crystal.

 Hope you like MR. PLANK FRANK.

Featured Guest Post- Tres Chere- Gorgeous and Chic outdoor design

Hi! Angela & Debbie here from Tres Chere. We are a mother and daughter team new to the Blogging Universe, World, Community..whatever you call it. We like to have fun and sometimes we have a very odd sense of humor...as you will see in our post titles. We reached out to Jennie after reading about her "Craft Disorder".  I'm sure we sounded like a bunch of dorks in our e-mail because we were gushing about our similar disorders, how we love Diet Coke too, blah blah blah. Well the good news is, we think she likes us because she e-mailed us back! Yay! We aren't weird Blog stalkers!
While Curbside Treasure Hunting we found a set of Vintage patio furniture.

{L + L= LUNA Love} & GIVEAWAY

Thank you to LUNA Protein for providing me a LUNA Protein sample pack to review. The opinions I've expressed here are solely my own and represent my honest viewpoint.

ARE YOU A BUSY MOM ON THE GO? OR JUST A BUSY LADY?
Well I am a super busy mom and now that school is back in, I am EXTRA BUSY. Mornings are so crazy from remembering everything from teeth brushing, to remembering to sign the homework slip.  See most morning's I don't even eat breakfast, I am to busy that I just forget. I realize that this is a huge problem, as I need to eat a healthy breakfast to get me through my active day. Well LUNA has come to save the day! I love their delicious chewy bars. LUNA is the first protein bar made just for us woman. They are so yummy. Decadent chocolate covered in nougat with 12 grams of protein, folic acid, calcium, iron, and vitamin D.  Seriously you can't fill guilty eating chocolate for breakfast anymore. HE!

I love that I could just grab one and go. I even tossed one in my purse to eat as I drove the kiddos to School. LUNA bars totally filled me up and I felt satisfied too. I think they are also a great alternative to having if you are watching your weight. You can have two a day with a piece of fruit and a healthy dinner in the evening. There is one problem with LUNA bars.... they are so good you want more then one, I mean more then one in one sitting. HA!

Their flavors rock, my very favorites were the "Chocolate Cherry Almond" and the "Mint Chocolate Chip" but really you can't go wrong all of them were tasty and felt like a treat. I say if you are a busy mommy or woman on the go LUNA is a great alternative to not missing the most important meal of the day. BREAKFAST! SO GET YOURSELVES SOME LUNA-LOVE!
YUMMY LUNA FLAVORS
 OOOH' AND LETS not forget Luscious LUNA Lips. I love the LUNA chap stick's. Their lip products sell themselves. I tried both and they are super creamy, make my lips super soft, and the scents and flavors AWESOME! TOTALLY AWESOME! PUCKER UP!

Miss Priss goes to Kindergarten

I thought I was going to bawl and bawl and bawl (my lil girl). NOPE. Bella has been so overly excited for Kindergarten, that she has filled me with joy. How could I possibly cry when she has had such an upbeat enthusiastic attitude towards Kindergarten. She was dressed with her backpack this morning before I was out of bed. Her positive and joyful feelings for school, has trickled into my mommy heart and in return I am so thrilled for her. I dropped her off and let her go.... OK' Now I am crying.... wiping tears.... Bella marched up the sidewalk and through the gate, and to her classroom. I walked behind her and watched her put her backpack in her own cubbie and we found her PURPLE seat with her name. She is independent, eager, thirsty,  and ready to learn. I tell her to listen, be kind, learn.. and REACH FOR THE STARS.

BE COOL STAY IN SCHOOL!

{Ruffled Dressed Piano Runner}

I love my Metro Living Tiles Fabric in Grass from Poppy Seed Fabric. I cut two thick pieces and used my sewing machine to create a ruffle. I then cut a long piece of mocha colored flannel from Walmart that I sewed up each long side. The flannel is nice and soft, so its great to lay across the top to keep it better protected from scratches. Lastly, I sewed the ruffled pieces on to each end.
{Super Simple}
