{{Monster Mix Madness}}

Hello There-

So I wanted to make a Halloween treat for my kiddos. So I headed to the nearest Walmart and got some supplies.

I am titling this treat {MONSTER MIX MADNESS}

Here are most of the supplies. I got a sweet package from my mil with some fun Bakers Twine in it that I so love.  So I tied the bakers twine around the bags and added $ 1.00 store monster eye ball suckers. I also picked out the Halloween colors from the mini m&ms
First melt your candy melts. Then pop your popcorn, lay the popped popcorn out on your cookie sheet. Drizzle the melted chocolate over it. Mix with hands or spoon. (hands work better) Then sprinkle with candy sprinkles, candy corn, and mini m&ms. I eye balled my servings. You can use as much or as little as you would like. Last fill up your bags, and let chill in the fridge for about 15 min.
 ITS PRETTY DARN SWEET, AND PRETTY DARN TASTY.... BUT MOST OF ALL ITS "MONSTER MIX MADNESS"... and if you feed your kids to much.... it will be just that....... -MONSTER MADNESS- winks.
P.S. they weren't at all excited... not one tiny bit.

BOYS ROOM Phase 2 - {The Bed Part 1}

Here is the boys room the
"FLOATING LOFT BED"

My hubby has made this all on his own, and has done a darn good job. I am way impressed. He started by drilling 2x4's into the wall into studs. Once the 2 2x4's were drilled into the wall, he then drilled some wholes down into the tops of them to add metal dowels, if you will. Then once the bed was made with compressed wood, and 2x4s he drilled some wholes into the bottom 2x4s of the bed frame. That is so the bed can be placed on top of the 2x4s drilled into the wall, where they would rest holding it even more securely into place. He anchored the bed with more support with metal rings. One drilled into a stud in the wall and the other ring into the wood corner of the bed. A thick piece of rope, safe for extra weight, helps hold the bed as well. He last built the ladder with measured out 2x4's, and the steps drilled into place. I painted the frame of the bed "SAFARI GREEN" and added the camo netting underneath, which is super fun, goes with the theme, and it also hides the 2x4s that the bed rest on top of. I chose to not paint the ladder giving it a natural element and look, but also because the steps would be used a lot...
(AND THEY ARE) and paint would rub off.
 We are still waiting to get the top mattress and bedding to match.

SUCH A HUGE CLIMB FOR A little pip squeak. HE DID IT THOUGH-WA-HOO!
Evin is so happy to be in his big boy room with his cool big brothers.
 (no he doesn't sleep on a pillow)
THE LAST PART OF THEIR ROOM WILL BE THE BIG REVEAL..... I can't wait... stuff is coming in the mail for it. My hubby has worked hard making this bed, and making it fun and safe. SAFETY FIRST. LOVE YOU  HUBSTER.
THANKS FOR STOPPING IN.

GLITTER BLAST SPRAY PAINT! HELLO- did we just say glitter! I am a true girly girl so this product is an absolute favorite of mine.

Once I was done I sealed the glitter with Krylon Glitter Blast Sealer. I then hot glued each skull to a long piece of thin robe.

DIY- Halloween {EEK Blocks}

 Here are my DIY-crafted {EEK} blocks. Last week I was lucky enough to be Guest Featured over at Tatertots and jello. For those of you who may not of seen my EEK blocks, I am showing them now.
In the picture collage you can see a basic step by step tutorial. For the grey colored fronts I mixed a charcoal acrylic paint with some white acrylic paint. I sanded them pretty good. All the wood I bought for these I got at Roberts Crafts.

The ceramic skeleton I got at Tai Pan Trading in S. UT.  3 years ago. I was hoping they would bring them back because they had an even bigger one that I wanted to get. However, I was there they other day.. and even though they had TONS of cute stuff.. I didn't see the ceramic skeleton's. Oh' well.
 I took two skeleton hands, that I bought in a pack at Michael's a few years ago. I used strong glue dots and stuck them to a plate I had. To get them off just a good pull will do.
The small paper pennant I used with Canvas Corp. paper cut into small triangle like pennants. The rope is also from Canvas Corp. as well as the chalk tags I have in the votive's.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY.
