Snowman Christmas Card w/ Bakers Twine

I made another BT Christmas card.
To see my first one you can go here. As I have mentioned before, I am just loving me some BT. I used the grey BT from
Twisted Sugar Twine.

SO HERE IS MY SNOWMAN Bakers Twine Christmas card.
Like the first one I made, I cut paper down to size to fit inside my brown paper Canvas Corp envelopes.
I used my score blade to make the card. Then I got to work gluing and twirling. I didn't embellish the snowman to much because when I tried to, it didn't look as cute as simple and sweet. You know the old saying....
"LESS IS MORE"
well it played into effect with this card.

I also added a cut piece of paper at the bottom that reads "Happy Holidays", a cut black top hat, and a cut piece of orange ribbon for the carrot nose. I also tied a piece of BT around the fold of the card, and I embellished the envelope too.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS CARD MAKING.
THANKS FOR STOPPING IN.

{Crock Pot Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup}

I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR. TIME FOR COMFORT FOOD, CROCK POT DINNERS. CUDDLY WARMTH DELICIOUS GOODNESS! AM I RIGHT?
I threw this baby together last night, without any recipe, and I was very pleased with how delicious it was.

Ingredients/ HOW TO:
4 carrot sticks graded chopped
4 celery sticks rinsed and chopped
1 32 oz. carton of chicken stock ( I used what was left of mine, and it was more then half full.)
2 cans of cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 c. of water
1 c. of milk
a couple shakes of salt, pepper
1 1/2 tbsp of onion flake, 1 tbsp. dry basil
(I actually didn't measure the ingred. I just eyeballed the ingredients and shook away.)
6 boneless skinless chicken tenderloins or 4-5  boneless skinless chicken breasts.
Place all the wet ingredients including the c. of c. and seasonings in the crock pot, whisk them together. Place the frozen chicken breasts in the crock pot. Cook low 4-6 hrs. Pull out the chicken breasts within the last hour and shred with two forks. During that last hour add in your veggies.
Boil and cook one bag of egg noodles, rinse, drain, and add to the soup during the last 45-55 minutes of slow cooking. I didn't use all the egg noodles I used a little more then half. You can use what you need for your family.
SERVE.
CREAMY. FLAVORFUL. DELISH. COMFORT.
THE END.
thanks for stopping by.

Health & Energy- {Advocare GIVEAWAY}

ARE YOU A RUNNER?  do you train for marathons?, triathlons?, or are you just a busy lady?, mom?, a working lady or mom?  Couldn't we all use some more "Healthy" energy? I know I COULD! Four kids keep me going non stop all day.

WELL LISTEN UP.....

Hi C-O-M followers!
My name is Avery and I am married to my best friend who is a United States Marine. Last year he was deployed for seven months and I found myself running daily to keep busy. I started training for races and using Advocare products. I could not believe what these products allowed me to do -- run 9 miles, go to bed and do it all again the next day!! I then used Advocare's 24 day challenge and lost 7" total, while losing pounds at the same time!! My husband came home and could not believe how much I had toned up while he was gone. He was surprised that I ran 3 races (10k, 5k, 10 miler). He was so proud of me. Advocare is now part of both of our everyday routines. We love it, we use it, and we share it. We love the way it is bringing us income, extra energy and toning our bodies!

{GO AVERY GO}

Well AVERY is {{{ giving away}}} TWO SPARK PACKS to one lucky winner.
1 Fruit Punch and 1 Mango strawberry. :)
What a healthy yummy treat.

ENTRIES:
1 entry- Like Advocare with Avery on FB here.
2nd entry- visit Avery's Advocare page, and let me know you did, go here.
3rd entry- SAY Healthy ROCKS!

I will announce the winner in a week or so via my COM-FB page.

BEST OF LUCK  TO YOU ALL!

Christmas Lollipop Card w/ Bakers Twine

Do you love Bakers Twine? I love Bakers Twine!!! and I SEE LOTS OF CHRISTMAS PRESENTS BEING WRAPPED IN BT. I also love one of my sponsor
Twisted Sugar Twine, they have super BT colors to choose from. So I saw a cute Bakers Twine sucker card/tag on Pinterest weeks ago, but stupid me I never pinned it, so I am going off memory. It was a sucker made of BT. Here is what I did.

HOW TO:
I  used my Canvas Corp. paper and cut it to fit inside my Canvas Corp. brown paper envelopes. I broke a popsicle/cake pop stick (the smaller ones)  down to size. I hot glued a tied bow to the stick and glued the stick to the paper. I used Fabric Paper glue to adhere the BT. I winded it around and around in a circle until I got the desired size I wanted. I added a cute "Merry Christmas" stamp to the right corner. Lastly, I embellished the envelope to match the card a bit.

P.S. WHO DOESN'T LOVE CHRISTMAS CARDS? I THINK ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS DURING THE HOLIDAYS. I wish I HAD MORE TIME to make a bunch of different hand made Christmas cards. However, this is just one idea, and you can make these Holiday lollipop cards in different BT colors. TO FUN!

the stamp(s) I ordered years ago on HSN and sadly I don't know where you can find them?

GOOD TIDINGS WE BRING.......

TALENT SCOUTED- Happy Looks Good on You {OWL LAMP}

FIRST THINGS FIRST- many of you will have the opportunity of getting an entire featured post here on -COM- YEAH! WHY you ask? BECAUSE ... I am NOW-
"TALENT SCOUTING"
If I come across a great blog/site with a DIY project/craft I LOVE, I will email you or leave you a comment telling you I WANT TO FEATURE YOU. I THINK THIS WILL BE ODDLES OF FUN... and I LOOK FORWARD to finding lots of TALENT.

SO I TALENT SCOUTED AND FOUND THE LOVELY Happy Looks Good on You. I was in AHHH, over her owl lamp.

so without further a do HERE WE GO-

Hello Craft-O-Maniac readers! My name is Meg and I'm here from Happy Looks Good On You. When Jen e-mailed me and asked if she could feature this I just about fell right out of my chair.
Gasp! She has so many amazing ideas and I'm thankful to be visiting today.
-Meg

So a few (probably more like 7) months ago my dear friend, Alison, and I made these fabulous mad hatter lamps. And I said I had found an owl that was inspiring me to make a halloween version.

This is said owl.

Isn't he cute?

Oh how I wish I had taken a before picture of him. (what's wrong with me?!! grrrrr.)

I picked him up at the thrift store for fifty cents. He was a toothbrush holder (you can sorta see the holes on his head) that obviously came from the 70s. He was a lovely mix of olive green, gold, and dark orange. Bleh. It was clear why he had landed on that weird decoration/junk aisle. But I saw potential in the little guy. Like most things, a quick spray paint job made a world of difference. And now I have a fabulous halloween-esque lamp.

Now if you're asking yourself, "What is up with Meg and her halloween lamps?" Don't worry. I've been asking myself the same thing. If you're new here, this is my second, yes second, halloween lamp I've made this season.

This is the first one. You can see all the details here.

Obviously I'm crazy about this one too because, well, it's awesome!

This is the shade I thrifted for a couple bucks.

I stripped all the material off and for awhile thought about just using the skeleton shade.

But instead, I cut strips of fabric, tied the ends together, then wrapped it around the shade.

It's kinda like a mummy shade.

I love how everything turned out. Love.

And I owe it all to this little tooth brush holder of an owl.

Until next time...

-Meg

THANK YOU MEG, ITS JUST PRECIOUS! I am so thrilled to of FEATURED THIS OWL LAMP TODAY. jen
