DIY Candy Corn and Skull Painted bags

Today I am sharing a super fun and simple DIY /craft project
“DIY Candy Corn & Skull Painted Bags”

I received the cute cotton bags (that you can get in almost any size your heart desires) from State Line Bag here. They were kind enough to send me a bunch to review. I have another project with them coming up in the next week or two.

You will need some paint “sponge” brushes, acrylic paint, and some painters tape (optional) and if you don’t have a Silhouette or Cricut to cut a skull stencil out from (barrow from friend etc.) then you can order the cool “Skull Zip Screen” from Fashion Art Projects here. They also were kind enough to send me some products to use and review. I love LOOOOVE THE ZIP SCREEN! so darn easy and cool.

HERE ARE THE CUTE COTTON BAGS (stuffed with paper towels) hung from a dead bush branch in my backyard. I simply stuffed the dead branch into an old urn/vase I had that already had some styrofoam in it. I added the filler to the top of it.
This was so EASY. I folded up some paper towels and stuffed them down into the bags. Then you can either tape off your stripes or not. I didn’t use the tape, it was an easy 1 to 3 stripes across the bag with your paint, and you were done.

I then moved onto some SKULL ones!
I positioned my skull screen tee that comes with a sticky back down onto my bag, (that was also stuffed with paper towels) I took my cool white screen disk card and scraped up some paint. I then started from the top of the image and scraped the paint down over the screen tee. I pulled off the screen tee and saw my awesome skull. LOVE IT!

the NIGHT OF HALLOWS EVE… I will fill each bag with some candy for my kids to take off the tree and enjoy!
(p.s. this is all prop photography here, I don’t have any Halloween out yet! winks)

There you have it. It was lots of fun to create, and I love HOLIDAY CRAFTING! its my ALL TIME FAV.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
hugs, jen
