The Laundry Room Revisited

While up at SNAP and visiting the Queen Bee Market I bought a bunch of cute Cut It Out frames. I love them. You can paint them and do what you want with them. I changed up a few things in my Laundry Room. Such as adding a Cut It Out frame. I added fabric to the inside board and hot glued down two antique clothes line pins. I also made two chunky clothes pins into magnets that I added to my magnetic board. I just made some very small changes, BUT SOMETIMES that is all it needs..... THAT and a good cleaning. I have more reason to keep everything running smoothly. Appliance parts from http://www.partselect.ca/

So here are some newly taken pictures (with  my new camera) of my Laundry Room- Fresh, bright, happy, and clean.
to get a tutorial on my laundry room wash, dry, and fold signs you can go here.

Here are the chunky clothes pins I hot glued magnets too. I think they look cute on the magnetic board.
and here is my other new addition my Cut It Out frame. I just added a stain around the edges. Hot glued fabric around the inside board, and hot glued down two antique clothes line pins. EASY!

and here is how the decor looks on top of the dryer right now.....
... with a cute new handmade runner.

DOING LAUNDRY IN my laundry room ISN'T SO BAD, ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS CLEAN AND SMELLS LIKE GAIN FABRIC SOFTENERS! AHHHHH!
thanks for stopping in.

A Nautical 1st Birthday Party

Hello and Welcome. In today's post you will see lots of pictures from my baby Evin's 1st Birthday.
I chose a "Nautical" theme as you will see.
I in total think I spent around $85-$90 dollars on this party, that is including the food, decor, and his one gift we got him. All the paper you see was from my FANTASTIC SPONSOR Canvas Corp. Thank Heavens for a Cricut too. They make parties, let me tell you. I used my Going Places Cricut Cartridge to cut out all the nautical stuff you see. The cute straws, nautical cupcake toppers, cupcake liners, the blue polka dot cupcake/candy cups, and the cute yellow and white polka dot bags are all from Hey Yo Yo my "FAVORITE" Party shop on Etsy.

I made lifesaver cookies, vanilla cupcakes, and lemon flavored cake balls. YUM! My hubby made homemade pizza, and the dough was from scratch.. SO GOOD. We had it with party bags filled with Doritos, and bottled water. The pizza was amazing. Thank you hublet.

OK OK'...... I WILL LET THE REST OF THE PICTURES DO ALL THE TALKING.  email me at jenglamgirl@gmail.com if you have any questions. I would love to hear from you. Thanks.

Did you hear that "SNAP" that's what!

WELL HERE I am finally getting around to SNAP the Creative Blog/Business Conference. I will share with you all MY TIPS along the way. ALL THOUGH I DIDN'T TAKE NEAR THE PICTURES I WISHED I HAD, I DID GET SOME. Also, since we are on the subject of pictures-
TIP 1: try really hard to use your nice camera and not your phone one like I did. I realize its easier to snap away with your phone but the quality and memories with your nice camera is so much better.

TIP 2: ROUND UP SOME SUPER AWESOME ROOMIES! OH' YEAH! even if you get pissy because its the last night and you have gone several days on no sleep and no ones seems to crash until after 1:00 in the morning... STILL GET AWESOME ROOMIES! Thanks Desi I stole your pic. Left to Right- Tausha- Sassy Style Design Megan- Brassy Apple  Desiree- The 36tH Avenue and me!
TIP 3: BRING YOUR BUSINESS CARDS! and don't be afraid to network yourself. Talk to your peers, your friends, girls that are there for the same thing you are. Hug, shake hands, exchange cards.
I am going to go further with the cards and tell you to do your best to  make them STAND OUT! MAKE THEM COUNT!..... "BRAND YOURSELF" Kristy from The Diary of Daves wife is a perfect example. Her blog is centered around her love of polka dots. "red" too. She wore polka dots a lot at SNAP, which I so loved. She even had polka dots on her cards and HELLO- she even handed out darling polka dot bow earrings with her cards. Her cards were my fav. and she branded her self so WELL! WAY TO GO KRISTY!
TIP 4: take notes in the awesome classes. I did this on my phone under notes. Trust me, you will want the awesome tips and links that the great speakers give you. Darling Cute Brooke from Studio 5. Loved her talk.
I took a fun Scentsy class, and got some free tarts and was able to make my own scent. Scentsy was a huge sponsor to SNAP and I love Scentsy.
TIP 5: Mingle-meet the girls, THE GIRLS that you look up to, that inspire you. HAVE FUN! Right to Left. me and Beckie me and Holly   me and Allison and me and Desiree
YELLOW was a popular color at SNAP. Kelli although you can't tell had a yellow cardigan on too with her cute yellow owl necklace. SO FUN!
heart be still, I MET JEN. I had to get two pictures with her and chat with her because one wasn't enough. Seriously, you will never meet a sweeter person in your life unless it was my grandmother Wilma. Jen- is the real deal, and they don't get sweeter then her. She truly is genuine and so humble too. LOVE HER!
(see this is an example of wishing I used my nice camera and not my phone. OH' WELL.)
SHELLEY- "NO WAY- REALLY?"  SHE IS SO BUBBLY AND SO CUTE. LOVE HER TOO.
I got to meet Amy Cornwell- The talented jewelry designer and creator. She made these necklaces you see below for EVERYONE that attended SNAP. THE SNAP MOTTO WAS "Just Be You" I cannot tell you enough how true that is. Be you in all you do and say, and you will shine through. I will treasure my necklace forever. Thanks Amy!
Everyone was SO SPOILED Oh' My the SWAG BAG... WOW! We were spoiled from the beautiful grounds- "HELLO TULIPS" the delicious dinners, and the so yummy lunches. HELLO GIANT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE! You will listen to amazing speakers, you will laugh, you may cry, and you will feel inspired.

THE QUEEN BEE MARKET WAS AH-MAZING, TRULY AH-MAZING! I loved all the creativity and the creative booths. I totally walked out of there with a handful of stuff... HELLO DUH!

All the DELICIOUS DINNERS, SOME OF THE SPEAKERS, THE QUEEN BEE MARKET, AND THE FUN KILLER FUN DANCING WAS ALL HELD IN THIS GIANT Barn at Thanksgiving Point in Utah.

(phone pictures below)
WHAT AN AMAZING TEAM TAUNI AND THE SNAPPETS ARE! A HUGE HUGE THANK YOU TO THEM AND ALL THEIR HARD WORK AND LOVE.

UNTIL NEXT YEAR..... JEN
