Link Party CraftOManiac Monday

BEFORE we get started on the FUN LINK PARTY, YAY! I wanted to share with you my Jacket/Backpack board in my entry way. Some of you have seen it before. It had my kids initials and numbers 1-4 on it. However the stencil was a little small and therefore it made it hard to read/see. I was never super pleased with it the first time around. So it got a do-over, and I like it much better now. Plus it's bigger and straight to the point. HA!

Here is the new look.

HERE IS AL LINK TO MY "ORIGINAL" BACKPACK JACKET BOARD POST. There are 8 hammered nails in the wood. Two nails per child, one for their backpack and one for their jacket. For now its just has some hoodies hung on it.

Revlon Expressions Experiment Girly Time!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Revlon for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Revlon is looking to inspire woman and push them out of their comfort zone.. (believe me putting on red lipstick did the trick) I somehow totally embraced the red lipstick and red lip butter. My little girls, EXACT WORDS WERE "Mom I love your red lips!" she then followed with "mom can I have some on?" I put some on her... too. After all girls just want to have fun.

I will be honest trying the REVLON Red "Cherry Tart" lip butter and the REVLON "Fire" lip gloss wasn't easy. I truly was terrified. I have always wanted to wear red lipstick, and I guess I look better in it as a brunette then I did when I was blonde. That is just me, I have seen plenty of blonde's rock the red lipstick. Hello' "Gwen Stefani." Anyway, it might of been scary, but I did it. You just have to find the right shade and play around. I blotted my red lipstick to help subdue it. None the less, its not permanent .

I just love the concept Revlon has behind their beauty products. STEP OUT of your COMFORT ZONE, and what better way to do that, than to experiment with makeup. Its not some crazy hair cut or hair color, its makeup, if you dont' like it then wipe it off, and try again. HAVE SOME FUN BEING A GIRL! Being a girl truly is fun, I love it.

So Revlon is delivering functional makeup tools and products to help us all come out of our comfort zone and express ourselves. Hey we only live once... IT MIGHT AS WELL BE GOSH' DARN FABULOUS, RIGHT?

I loved playing with my Revlon Expressions Experiment Kit. I am a HUGE fan of the makeup primer! where the heck has it been all my life? HA! I don't think I will ever do my makeup without a primer or eyelid primer. BOTH SO FAB.

Home Decor Gallery Wall with Table

Today I am sharing with you all an awkward wall I have in my house. Its between my large front room window with its adorning hanging shelf.. the shelf comes slightly into the small wall to the left. Then to the right is the sliding glass door and blinds. The blinds also come into the wall if the blinds are shut all the way. So it can be rather annoying having things not look just right.

However, in my house a wall just cannot be blank! and there really isn't a BLANK wall in my house. My dad is sure to let me know of it, and makes fun of me about it too. Course' I quickly remind him of his home and that mom doesn't have a blank wall either... cough cough... where did I get it from "DAD?" huh huh? winks.

So I spent sometime messing around with the wall for the last several years hanging different things on it. I also spent sometime the last few days getting the look I wanted on the table. With the help of some super awesome FB friends I was able to create just the look I wanted.

So here are some pictures for you all along with a BEFORE shot as well. P.S. the yellow lamp was just to big for the table especially with its lamp shade. I will share the lamp in another decor post, another day.

I bought some Cut It Out Frames at SNAP in April and I taped off the one and painted it, and then painted the other two. When I was done I sanded all the edges. Also, I don't have pictures of my kids for the frames just yet. I want to take group shots of them and put black and white shots in the frames. Hopefully soon.

AFTER

The yellow flowers I got at Michales Crafts, and the faux apples I got at Walmart. The wire basket I have had for a year and shopped my home, and the picture frame I bought over a year ago at Ace Hardware in my local town.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE ENDING RESULTS. AFTER ALL IT WITH THROUGH- "8" transformations over the course of "3" plus years.

Homemade Sprinkle Sugar Cookies

I love a sweet cookie, I love even more when the cookie or treat has sprinkles. MMM, HMM! What is it about sprinkles? they make me so happy. I would choose a sprinkled doughnut any day over any other kind.  I love sprinkled cupcakes too, I guess its jut my inner little girl. I {light} up with sprinkles.

My kids light up too, when they see mom baking. They drag out my kitchen chairs and bring them over to the bar. They climb up on top of them to watch mom work her magic. Sometimes they help with an egg or dumping in a measurement. I know the real reason they watch... THEY WANT to get their hands on that beater with cookie dough. SMART KIDS. Well they were just as excited when I decided to make
 Homemade Sprinkle Sugar Cookies.
Boy' did they love seeing all those colorful sprinkles too.

THESE Sprinkled Sugar Cookies, are super EASY TOO!

10 Minute ModPodge Necklaces

Hello there, today I will be sharing with you some super simple and sweet 10 Minute ModPodge Necklaces I made.

Really' I am serious when I say this project took all of about 10 minutes. I love a simple and sweet project.... Who's with me?

I used podgeable shapes, podgeable papers, and modpodge, all products from Plaid. I also used scissors, a pencil for tracing, and some thin ribbon. Like I said super easy!

HOW TO:
I started by taking a podgeable shape and placing it over the podgeable paper image I liked. I traced it with a pencil and cut it out. Then I added some Modpodge to the top of the image, then placed the podgeable shape over the paper. I flipped the piece over and added more modepodge to the back. I let them dry and then threaded them each with some ribbon. DONE! WOOP!

all modpodge items were sent to me from Plaid Crafts. They are a new line of products. Please check your craft stores for these super fun supplies.

MY DAUGHTER TOTALLY IS IN LOVE WITH HER CUPCAKE ONE. I know just who some of the others are going too. This would be a fun project to do for Girls Night, or with your daugther(s)

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY COM TODAY.

Summer Survival for the kids- Throw a Carnival Themed Lunch

I am sure you have all heard it more then once... those words all moms LOVE TO HEAR .... "I AM BORED!" well I have too! but honestly, the simplest things can turn the mundane into something super fun and enjoyable for everyone. Like for instance turn your kids boring ever day lunches at home into a fun "theme". In my case I wanted to surprise my kids by planning and throwing them a
"CARNIVAL THEMED LUNCH"

I had all my  kids hang out in Bella's room and watch tv, while I worked up my magic putting together a fun lunch for them.

All the fun carnival props and items I found for them in the dollar party section at Walmart. I think I spent around $24.00 dollars gathering up some fun items. The lunch stuff I had and made for them at home. (no its not the healthiest, but it made for a fun lunch thats for sure!)

When everything was all prepared and set up. I grab a mustache stick placed it above my lips... and in my BEST carnival announcing "man" voice... welcomed all the kids to the fun, exciting, carnival lunch.

MAN' the grins on their faces is exactly why throwing a themed lunch is perfect for your SUMMER SURVIVAL!
my kids were gleaming from ear to ear.

HERE ARE SOME PICTURES OF OUR
SUMMER SURVIVAL CARNIVAL THEMED LUNCH.

YOUR CHILDREN WILL LOVE IT!
ANY THEME $25.00 bucks and under and about 15 minutes of your time.

ENJOY!

Tender Glazed Salmon Recipe

HOT DANG- my man can cook! FOR REALZ!

Sheesh' I always thought I was a great cook, until I let my hubby have reigns over the kitchen. I am telling you that stud... aka my hubs can cook a mean meal. Every time (not counting the nasty mustard chicken he made one time) he cooks something amazing. Our kids even go nuts over their daddy's cookin.  Honestly, this mama and "HAPPY" wife cannot complain.

Well this recipe I am about to share with you is NO different. Its mouth watering, tender, flavorful, and Oh' so dang tasty. You all will totally love it, and so will your hips and thighs.
