    DIY Christmas Tree Cones

Today I am sharing with you all how I embellished two brown paper cones I picked up from JoAnn's. I also made one out of damask paper.

    HOW TO:
For the large brown cone I hot glued satin ribbon flipped over to expose the dull side. I simply added my hot glue and wrapped the ribbon all the way around until it was finished.

For the smaller brown cone I wrapped it in some Canvas Corp. rope. again by hot gluing the rope all the way down until it was finished.

The "paper" cone tree, I traced a dinner plate for the bottom of the cone tree, a salad plate, for the second layer of the cone tree, and a dessert plate for the top of the cone tree. You trace the three circles using the three different plates. Cut out the circles and then find your center, draw a circle/dot and then draw a line from the middle center down to the edge of the circle, do this twice creating a 4 inch gap, it should look like a triangle. Cut out that triangle, then fold your sides in, getting your desired cone shape. I used clear double sided tape to tape down the folded underneath lip of the cone. I then stacked the three different sizes. Super Easy. The cute turq. damask paper is from Canvas Corp.

and here is a paper cone example (image found via Google) again like I explained above, you can get the three different sizes by using three different sized plates

    WELL HELLO THERE!
Have fun creating some yourselves, and thanks for stopping by friends.

(OK how cute would these be not only in scrabpooking, but think of them as magnets for your kids. You could even print off one of the printable's below and put it on a magnet sheet and then turn the icons above into magnets for the fridge or a magnet board for the kids to play with. )

Bathroom Organization Ideas Plus a $50.00 dollar gift card Giveaway to the Container Store

Hello there, a few weeks ago I was contacted from the Apartment Guide. They wanted to know if I would be interested in sharing how I get organized with my beauty supplies, as well as keeping organized in my bathroom. I was sent a $100.00 dollar gift card to go shopping for some great organization pieces. I found most of my items at Home Goods and Target. Today I am showing you my messy before's and organized afters. I sure hope that these ideas or tips will help you in getting your beauty supplies and bathroom toiletries organized.

I took an old cute turq. glad tub I found at a yard sale and filled it with cotton balls. The cotton balls remind me of a "very bubbly" bath. winks.
I found a cute square glass candle holder at Target, perfect to hold your q-tips.
... and another cute jar to hold your cotton beauty pads.
and how nifty is the "Blow Dryer Holder" I got at Target. I love it.

I also used a small square 3 tier container to hold my foundations, eye shadows, a blush stick, and eyelash curler.
I love pails for a lot of stuff, like craft supplies. They are also perfect for your eye makeup pencils, mascaras, and your lipsticks and lip glosses. They would work great too holding any eye makeup and blush brushes.
....OK' HERE IS MY FIRST BEFORE.. it was an attempt at getting organized but its still a mess...
first some serious wiping down and laying down some drawer lining...
    AHHH' AFTER
    DRAWER 2 BEFORE
    DRAWER 2 AFTER
I used more plastic trays for hair clips and headbands, as well as holding special jewelry in covered pouches. An ice cube tray is great for holding smaller earrings and rings.
    DRAWER 3 BEFORE
    DRAWER 3 AFTER
     DRAWER 4 BEFORE
sorry the sun was really shinning through my bathroom so the pics. are extra bright even adjusting my camera settings. winks.
    DRAWER 4 AFTER

THERE IS NO BETTER FEELING then to have things all organized and neatly in there places. I enjoy my personal belonging, makeup, and what have you a whole lot more.
Its wonderful to know exactly where to find everything and where to put everything back. As mentioned above, I sure hope these organization ideas will help you.

    DIY Paper Tag Wreath

Hi there, today I worked on a wreath that can be used for fall or even summer or spring. I thought it looked more fall-ish though.

I used a wicker wreath and some scrapbook paper that was a bunch of tags. I got the paper as a gift, so I cannot tell you where to find it, my apologies. Any tag paper you can cut out will work. I also threaded some jute and clipped a few more tags to the center of the jute. I added some tied ribbon to the center to finish it. All the tags were hot glued down with just a little hot glue. I cannot believe that in my craft stash I had fabric and two paper tags that matched. The two matching craft items, are really what inspired me to make something... ONLY IN THE CRAFTY WORLD! love it!

This project was super easy and fun, I think it took me about 20 - 25 minutes to make. Plus you can make it with some many different colors.
    Thanks for stopping by,
